The theme for the 2015 Belize Literary Prize was ‘Open’ so authors had free reign to write in the genre of their choice.
The three judges were literary notables: Zoila Ellis, William Neal and Larry Vernon. The short story grading criteria they applied was based on four elements of literature: Form, Fiction, Language and Organization.
