Living Together
Living Together: A Belizean Social Studies Series for Primary Schools is a curriculum-based programme that supports the teaching of Social Studies through thoughtfully structured textbooks, workbooks, and teacher’s guides. Written by experienced Belizean Studies educators, the series is designed to reflect the realities, values, and diversity of life in Belize.
The programme places strong emphasis on the development of self-esteem, empathy, and respect for oneself and others, helping students understand their roles within family, school, and community. Through age-appropriate topics, guided discussion, and reflective activities, the books encourage critical thinking, responsible citizenship, and positive social behaviour.
Enhanced with vivid illustrations and photographs by Belizean artists and photographers, Living Together offers an engaging and culturally relevant learning experience that supports both classroom instruction and meaningful student participation.
